Charles (Beany) Oliver, 55 of Hammondsville died at Osteopathic Hospital Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. He had been a patient about a week.
Mr. Oliver was born in Wellsville Nov. 28, 1918, a son of Annie McCartney Oliver of Hammondsville and Fred Oliver.
He was a retired employe of the F. J. Dando Brick Co. of Hammondsville and a member of American Legion Post 712 of Hammondsville.
He served five years with the Army during World War II as a member of the 37th Division, 145th Infantry, Co ? including 3 ½ years in the Pacific Theater of operations.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Oliver is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alberta Tice Oliver, at home; a daughter, Lori Tice, at home; three sons, Charles Leffler, Timothy Lee Tice, and Scott C. Tice, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Rena Ketchum of Hammondsville; a brother, Tomas Oliver of Hammondsville, and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Haugh-Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville Friday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Carl Stockdale. Burial will be in Hammondsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and Thursday afternoon and night.
