NEW CUMBERLAND – Services will be held Tuesday for Mrs. Ruth Garrison, 71, of 711 3rd Ave., who died Sunday night at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following an long illness.
A lifelong resident, Mrs. Garrison was born here April 22, 1907, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Householder. She attended the United Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Boyd F. Garrison, died Dec. 20, 1953.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clovis E. (Frances) Glove of New Cumberland RD 3 and Mrs. Carol O”Shell of Pittsburgh; a son, Robert Boyd Garrison of Buenos Aires, Argentina, a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Wilma) McClue of Dunbar, W. Va.; a brother, Dean Householder of New Cumberland, and 11 grandchildren.
The rites will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. from the Turley Funeral Home here by the Rev. Richard Huggins of the United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in New Cumberland Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
The family’s favorite charity was the American Cancer Society.
