WARREN – Services for William Jones Jr. 66, of 975 Garden St.. will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Robert h. Roberts Memorial Home here.
He died Monday at 10:05 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Riverside Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 27, 1907, in Monessen, Pa., a son of William F. Jones and Roseann Webb Jones , and moved to Warren from Monessen four years ago. He was employed as a craneman at Wean Industries for 15 years retiring in 1969.
Mr Jones was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 311, VFW Post 1090, Elks Lodge 295, Moose Lodge 186, and DAV Chapter 11, all of Warren and American Legion Post 121 of Chester, W. Va.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maxine Simms Jones, whom he married Aug. 30, 1946; a daughter, Mrs. Donald F. Fisher of Cortland; a son, W. David Jones of Warren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Roberts of Warren and Mrs. Otto Mackey of Champion Township; a brother Lee Roberts of Leavittsburg, and five grandchildren.
Services will be hed a the funeral home, 180 Garfield Dr. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Elks Lodge 295 will hold services at the funeral home tonight at 6:45, VFW Post 1090 will conduct military rites a the cemetery following services at the funeral home.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9
