Kathryn E. Gregory, 83
FAIR OAKS, Calif. – Services will be held Saturday for Kathryn E. Gregory, 83, of Fair Oaks, formerly of Chester, who died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, following a brief illness.
She was born in Morgantown, W. Va., May 3, 1914, a daughter of the late L. V. and Bertha Gidel Keck.
She graduated from Morgantown High School and West Virginia University. She taught at Chester Jr. High and Oak Glen High School form 1961 to 1976. She waas a member of the Rancho Cordova Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Chester, the Chester Garden Club, the Chester Women’s Club and Crescent Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. A resident of Chester since 1935, she moved to California in 1986.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gregory, who died in 1960; and a brother, L. V. Keck III.
She is survived by two sons, Doug Gregory of Sun City West, Ariz; and Robert Gregory of Fair Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Jean Pritchett of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Ann Griss of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Katrina Lewis will conduct services at 1 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel of Chester. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call a the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
