EAST PALESTINE—Services are planned Friday evening for Mrs. Beatrice H. (Betty) Bailey of 66 S. Washington St., who died 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1988, at the
Salem Community Hospital where she had been a patient a week.
She was born Aug. 25, 1905, in Webster, Pa., a daughter of the late George Booth and Elizabeth Dunn Booth.
Mrs. Bailey had resided here for some time before moving 27 years ago to Ontario, Calif., and she returned two years ago. She attended the united Methodist Church.
Her husband, Wilbur H. Bailey, whom she married in 1921, died in October 1979.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Beatrice H. Mourner of Murrieta, Calif., Mrs. Inez Hudson of Upland, Calif., Mrs. Ruth A. Dodge of East Palestine and Mrs. Patty Duff of Venice, Fla.; a brother David Hughes of West Newton, Pa., two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Chadwick of San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. Sara Mountain of Finleyville, Pa.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The Rev. James K. Powell of the Centenary United Methodist Church is to conduct the services at 9 at the Oliver-Linsey Funeral Home. Burial is to be in California
Friends may call a the funeral home from 7 until the services.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Meals on Wheels program in care of Mrs. Martha Mollenkopf in East Palestine.
