Mrs. Catherine Diemer, wife of John F. Diemer, 921 Main St., Wellsville, died Friday morning following a year’s illness. She was 70.
Born Nov. 5, 1884, in Indiana, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Isabel McGee Sexton and resided for about 45 years in Wellsburg and Warwood, W. Va.
Mrs. Diemer was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charles L. Conrad of Warwood, and Mrs. William W. Daugherty of Wellsville; two sisters, Mrs. Celia O’Grady and Mrs. Ella Broderick, both of Wellsville; two brothers, Daniel Sexton of Steubenville, and Louis Sexton of Los Angeles, and five grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the church by the Rev. William J. Lawler. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight and Sunday at the funeral home.
