Shirley J. Reed
BEAVER - Shirley Jean Reed, 71, died early Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Medical
Center in Beaver.
Born Sept. 29, 1937 in Catawba, WVa., she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn Cassidy Murphy.
She was a homemaker and Christian.
Reed was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer R. Reed, daughter Joann Reed and son Delmer E. Reed.
Survivors include four sons, Clyde W. (Karen) Reed of Salineville, Walter Ray (Brenda) Reed of Glenmoor, John M. (Wanda) Reed of East Liverpool and Joe Allen (Becky) Reed of New Cumberland; three daughters, Della Jean (James )Mahaffey of New Manchester, Sue (Larry) Rollyson and Ruth Ann (Mark) Mays, both of New Cumberland. A sister, Maxine Kind, of Rogers, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Delmar Logston at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester followed by burial in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
