Hattie W. Jones, 95, of RR #1 New Cumberland passed away Thursday, June 5, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born June 7, 1907 in Bens Run, WV, a daughter of the late John William and Mary Viola Miller Watson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Jones; a son, Frederick D. Jones, Sr.; four brothers, William, Earl, Bernard and Ira and a sister, Linnie Way.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Point Pleasant United Methodist Church and the Point Pleasant Ladies Aide.
She is survived by a daughter, Marian Caine of New Cumberland; a son, Gary Jones of New Cumberland; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 9, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Point Pleasant United Methodist Church wit the Rev. Billy Ray Carpenter and Rev. Charles E. Andrews officiating. Interment followed in the Union Cemetery in New Manchester. Turley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
