Mary Elizabeth Haynes

Mary Elizabeth Haynes, 94, of the Weirton Geriatric Center, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away Friday, February 7, 2003 at the Center following a brief illness.
She was born January 6, 1909 in Steubenville, a daughter of the late Harry and Amanda Hibbits Wells. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Haynes in 1983; a daughter, Kathleen Spencer; five brothers, four sisters; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Betty) Summers of Weirton; eight grandchildren, Kathleen Kuschel of Boardman, Mary Becker, John Burdette, Sandy Shepard, William English and James Fox, all of Weirton and Denver Burdette and Diana Ca-landros, both of Steubenville; eight great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, February 10, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Turley Funeral Home. Interment followed in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
