Frances “Frankie” Watson

Frances “Frankie” Watson, 69, of New Manchester peacefully passed away Thursday, July 24, 2003 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 27, 1933 in New Cumberland, a daughter of the late Earl and Constance Carroll Bennett. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanne Bennett, Ann Bennett and Edith Long and a brother, Richard Bennett.
She has worked for the East Liverpool City Hospital, the Weirton Hospital and as a home health nurse. She had been a leader of the Sundowners 4-H Club. She was a member of the United Way, the West Virginia Nursing Association and the Point Pleasant United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Watson, at home; two sons, James F. Wellington of Jacksonville, FL and Kendall E. Watson and his wife, Regina of Chester; a daughter, Kenya R. Watson Herstine of New Manchester and two grandchildren, Justin Lipps and Kaitlyn Herstine of New Manchester.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 8, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the New Cumberland Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Andrews and Rev. R. F. Staub officiating. Interment followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
