CENTERVILLE, Tenn.—Robert Earl Atkins, 65, of Centerville, Tenn., formerly of East Liverpool, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Webster Springs, W.Va., May 16, 1938, a son of the late G. Earl and Gwendolyn Atkins.
He was a retired maintenance worker and served with the U. S. Navy for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Nila Atkins at home; three sons, Robert “Tag” Atkins of Springfield, Tenn., Clifton “Eric” Atkins of Nashville, Tenn., and Joseph A. Atkins of East Liverpool; a daughter, Melissa Atkins Monte of East Liverpool; three sisters, Jean Shields of Barberton, Ohio, Judy Ferlaino of Youngstown and Nancy McKinney of Hermitage, Tenn.; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be held by the family.
