OHIOVILLE -- Charles Noakes, 58, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at the Medical Center, Beaver.

He was born in Thompson 2, Pa., Nov. 5, 1941, a son of the late Walter and Thelma Witt Porter.

He was a self-employed electrician and a member of the United Methodist Church in Midland.

He is survived by his wife, Luana Redmond Noakes; step-father Harry Porter of Coal Center, Pa.; a son, Richard M. Noakes of Ohioville; a daughter Crystal M. Noakes of Midland; a brother, Kenneth Noakes of Youngwood, Pa.; seven sisters, Emma Williams of Brookville, Fla.; Dolores Edwards of Dade City, Fla.; Dorothy Fouts of Paintsville, Ken.; Tudy Williams of Cleveland; Wanda Graham of North Ridgeville, Ohio; and Pam Fisher and Loretta Noakes of Brownsville, Pa.

The Revs Rico Vespa and James DeWeese will officiate services at 8 tonight at the D. L.Williams Funeral Home in Midland. Burial will take place at a later date.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 today.
