Linda Lou White, 63, of Plutus Av, Chester, passed away on Wed., June 1, 2011 at the Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness.
Linda was born in Wheeling on July 18, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert J. ST Myers and Mildred B. Johnson St Myers.
She taught school for 23 years in the Hancock County public school system and later worked for 10 years at the National Church Supply Company in Chester.
Linda was a member of the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ in Chester where she enjoyed participating in the Ladie’s Work Days
She graduated from Wheeling High School in 1965 and received her BA in Education from West Liberty College in 1969. Linda continued her education at West Virginia University where she earned her Masters in Communications in 1985.
Survivors include four sisters, Lois Jean (and the late Raymond) Dougherty of Wheeling, Carol Lee (Dennis) Wright of Wheeling, Roberta Kay (Richard) Crain of Benwood, and Mary Beth (Thomas) Conner of Wheeling. In addition four aunts and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Evangelist Frank Higginbotham of the church conducted services on Friday, June 3, at 2:00 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Private interment was held at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
