TORONTO – Mrs. Giovannia “Jennie” Grandma Lanave, 83, of Pierce Ave., died at the St. John Medical Center in Steubenville at 9:10 this morning following a brief illness.
She was born in Wellsville Nov. 22, 1902, a daughter of the late Michael DeFalco and Giovannia Carmina DeFalco.
She was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church and its Catholic Women’s Club.
Her husband, Nicola Lanave, died Feb. 12, 1968.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Tina) Finamore of Youngstown and Mrs. Norman (Lucy) Graham of Toronto, a son, Silvio Lanave of Toronto, six grandchilidren and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial is to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Roger Foys as celebrant. Burial is to be in Toronto Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Clarke Funeral Home Friday afternoon and Evening when a wake service is planned at 8:30.
