Elizabeth Hist, 91, Retired Teacher

TUCKER, Ga. -- Elizabeth B. Hist, 91, of Jennings Avenue, East Liverpool, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 1989, at the Northlake Regional Center in Tucker, Ga., where she had resided since May 1.

She was born in East Liverpool Oct. 16, 1897, a daughter of the late James Bloor and Annie Dennis Bloor.

A retired teacher in the East Liverpool school system, Mrs. Hist was a member of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, its Circle Four and the National Retired Teachers Association.

She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1915, attended Kent State University, and later graduated from Geneva College.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Broadbent of East Liverpool and Frances McCall of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

The Rev. George P. Donehoo is to conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial is to be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Organ Fund at the church or the ELHS Alumni Association Clock Tower Project.
