WELLSVILLE – Harry C. “Jack” Stone, 64, of 1050 Township Line Road, died Monday at 10:27 p.m. in East Liverpool City Hospital, where he had been a patient a week.
A lifelong area resident, Mr. Stone was born here March 28, 1918, a son of Paul F. Stone and Emma Anderson Stone.
He worked some 30 years in various local potteries and retired as operator of the Stone Vending Co. in April.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1040 and the IBPAW.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Coleman Stone at home, survivors include two daughters, Miss Sally Stone of Mansfield and Mrs. Michael (Jackie Lynn) Sabbato of Guilford Lake, a son, Jeffrey K. Stone of Eugene, Ore.; three brothers, Paul A. Stone of Huston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Regina) Dennis of Breksville, and two grandchildren.
Services are to be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the MacLean Funeral Home by the Rev. Oommen K. Thomas of the Yellow Creek United Presbyterian Church, assisted by Fr. Donald McIlvane.
Friends may call Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon and night at the funeral home, where an Elks service is to be held Thursday at 8 p.m..
Burial is to be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Heart Fund.
