LINDA K. SIX - Obituary

CALCUTTA – Linda K. Six, 53, of Dale Street, died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2002, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born in Chester, Oct. 26, 1948, the daughter of Velma Coleman Carroll of Calcutta and the late Norman Carroll, she was a member of the Longs Run Presbyterian Church.

A longtime supporter and fan of the Beaver Local Athletics, she was a member of the Beaver Local Booster Club as well as the Calcutta Lions Club. She also volunteered with the Bill Booth Football League and was an active follower of the Calcutta Bulldogs team. She worked at the Dairy Mart Convenient Store in Calcutta and Columbiana for nine years.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Danny J. Six, at home. The couple married Nov. 20, 1980. Two daughters survive, Mrs. Robert (Christiana) McCarty of Lisbon and Deirdre Drane of Denver, Pa., along with a son, Robert Drane and his wife, Veronna of Mansfield. There are also two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jerry (Deanna) Patterson of Waynesburg, Ohio, and Mrs. James (Kathie) Andrick of Columbus, and a stepson, Charles Six of Toms River, N. J.

In addition four sisters survive, Mrs. Keith (Marilyn) Matheny of Lyman, S. C., Jackie Carroll of Gray Court, S. C., Mrs. Rusty (Jannie) Smith of Calcutta and Mrs. Tom (Michelle) Crouse of Harrisburg, Pa., along with three brothers. N. Larry Carroll and his wife Jane of Geer, S. C., Marvin Carroll and his wife Marci of Lisbon and Kevin Carroll and his wife April of Calcutta. In addition there are five grandchildren, Coleman Drane, Andrew McCarty, Rerily Drane, Dillon Drane and Lauren McCarty, along with five step grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Longs Run Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Caster and Rev. Tanta Luckhardt Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship following the service.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions in care of the Longs Run Presbyterian Church, 15851 Longs Church Road, Calcutta, Ohio.
