Clem E. Ammon, 96, a former Wellsville area resident and a patient at the Ruker Nursing Home of Alliance, died Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Alliance City Hospital.
Mr. Ammon formerly resided on the Old Irondale Rd., Wellsville. He was a retired farmer.
He was born in St. Clair Township Dec., 1878, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ammon.
Survivors include four sons, Elmer Ammon of Jackson, Mich., Sam Ammon of Salineville, Arthur Ammon of Alliance and Roy Ammon of Wellsville.
Services will be held at the MacLean Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday night.

Mrs. Etta Lodge DeBee, 56, wife of Charles M. DeBee of 223 Walnut st., died today at 1 a.m. at City hospital following a long illness.
She was born in Marion, and resided in this vicinity 35 years. Mrs. DeBee was a member of the First Methodist church.
In addition to her husband her survivors include a sister, Mrs. Delia Clark of Akron, and four grandchildren.
Rites will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Martin funeral home by Rev. W. E. Speaker, pastor of the Pennsylvania Avenue Methodist church. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday night at the funeral home.

LISBON – The time of services for Harry Owen Vaughn, 78, of 506 Washington St., Lisbon, has been changed from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home here.
Burial will be in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.
Friends may call at the funeral hoe today from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
Mr. Vaughn died Monday morning at the Windsor Manor Nursing home following along illness.

Mrs. Marie Osborne, 82, of Sandusky, former East Liverpool resident, died Feb. 11 following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Osborne a patient at the Classic Care Center of Columbus Ave., Sandusky, was born Nov. 16, 1898 Warren.
She was preceded in death, June 24, 1976, by her husband Harry W. Osborne, whom she married June 14, 1916.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Downen of Akron, Mrs. A. R. (Evelyn) Jacobs of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. James (Dorothy) Harris of Blakely ST., East Liverpool, and Carolyn Osborne of Lima, Ohio, and two sons, Robert Osborne of Akron and Harry W. Osborne of Rockford, Wisc. There are 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted at Sandusky.

EAST PALESTINE – Services for Mrs. Alberta W. Johnson, 55, of E. Highland Ave will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Oliver Funeral Home here.
Mrs. Johnson died of a stroke Saturday at 10 a.m. at home.
She was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Kingwood, W. Va., and came to East Palestine in 1929. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church
In addition to her husband James H. Johnson, whom she married in 1929, she leaves two sons, James W. Johnson of New Castle and George Johnson of Philadelphia; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Mae Green of New Galilee and Mrs. Juanita Johnson of Youngstown; a brother, Oscar Davis; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Thomas of Pittsburgh, Miss Laura Davis and Mrs. Anna Roswell of Sewickley, and 25 grandchildren.
Friends may call a the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.

Mrs. Marie E. Byers, 65, of 209 ½ 19th St. Wellsville, was found dead Sunday about 8:25 p.m. by a son, Allen Byers of Wellsville. Death was due to an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Byers was born Apr 7, 1901, in Pittsburgh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glabb. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wellsville.
She also leaves five daughters, Mrs. Juen Rice of Baltimore, Mrs. Anna Sue Gough and Mrs. Sally Stewart, both of Hammondsville, Mrs. Geraldine Binegar of Wellsville and Mrs. Shirley Gough of Lisbon; two other sons, Edward Byer4s and Jay Byers, both of Wellsville; three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Stewart, Mrs. Virginia Hugue and Mrs. Nettie Rowe, all of New Brighton; another sister, Alice, two brothers, Ralph Glabb and Norman Glabb, both of New Brighton; 33 grandchildren an d13 great-grandchildren
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the church, Wednesday at 10 a.m. by Fr. James K. Cavanaugh. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth cemetery, Wellsville.
Friends may call at the Haugh Funeral Home in Wellsville Tuesday.

Calvin Welch - Obituary

Calvin L. Welch, 80, of Whipple, Ohio, a former resident of Chester and Newell, died Saturday afternoon at home after a lingering illness.
A native of Ravenswoods, W. Va., Mr. Welch was born Sept. 23,1886, a son of Dennis Welch and Sara Jane Welch. He was a retired roller for the Weirton Steel Co. He belonged to the Methodist Church in Whipple, Modern Workmen’s Association and the Knights of Pythias. He was preceded in death by his widow, Mrs. Beatrice Starkey Welch, who died in 1936, two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Alice) Statler of Whipple; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Clark of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Mrs. Elsie Barrett of East Liverpool, one grandchild and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Chester Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Locust Hill, Chester.
Friends may call at the chapel tonight and Tuesday up to the time of service.
