CENTER TWP. – Debra A. Cooper-Hanlon, 48, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Kindred Health Care, Beaver, following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 2, 1955, in Sewickley, the daughter of Eugene and Roberta McDonald Cooper of Hopewell Township.
She was a former nurse’s aide and a member of the Wildwood Chapel in Alliquippa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles r. Hanlon.
Besides her parents, she is survived by two sons, Chaz Cooper-Hanlon and Cory Cooper-Hanlon, both of Center Township; one brother, Michael Cooper of Aliquippa; and one sister, Pamela Reed of Enon Valley.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Wildwood Chapel. Welch Funeral Home, Hookstown, is in charge of arrangements..
There will be no visitation.

SALEM – John E. Taggart, 95, formerly of Wellsville, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at Blossom Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Salem after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Wellsville on Dec. 5, 1908, a son of the late John E. and Emma Vantilburg Taggart.
He at one time worked as a meter reader for Wellsville.
He is survived by his wife, Edith H. Glover Taggart; two sons, John Taggart of Texas and Jon Wayne Taggart of Satsuma, Fla.; three daughters, Shelby Smith of Toronto, Joyce Taggart of Wellsville and Judy Taggart of New Philadelphia, Ohio; one brother, Harold Taggart of Toronto; one sister, Emma Foehrenbach of Indiana, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter.
A memorial service will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, March 13, 2004, at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
No calling hours are planned.

He was a retired from Conrail Conway Yards. He was a member of the Conway Christian And Missionary Alliance Church.
In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores “Dolly” Sferro George.
Surviving are three daughters, Theresa “Terry” A. Hicks of Louisville, Ky., Karen I Stratton of Industry and Kathryn “Kathy “ K. Dout of Midland and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home at 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, Pa.

Heiland and Francis E. Heiland of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Peggy Counts of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
