David Frederick Halfhill

WELLSVILLE – David Frederick Halfhill, 65, went to be with his Lord Saturday, March 6, 2004, form his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 13, 1938, in Wellsville, the son of the late John and Sarah Hargreaves Halfhill.
He served as a sergeant with the Military Police in the U.S. Army. He was a security supervisor at Shippingport Nuclear Power Plant for more than 18 years before retiring in 1984. Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending much of his free time in the woods enjoying nature.
Survivors in clued his devoted wife, Sally S Boyd Halfhill, whom he married Dec. 12, 1963; five daughters, Giner Dawn Pease and her husband Mick of Roseville, Ohio, Shirley Messick and her husband Tola of East Dublin, Ga., Susan Marie Pearce of Dudley, Ga., Marsae Lu-Shawn Barber and her husband Tom of Wellsville and Michelle D. Pease and her husband Wayne of Wellsville; three sons, David F. “D.H.” Halfhill jr. of Wellsville, Butch Brown of East Liverpool and David F. HalfhillIII and his wife Kelly of Wellsville; a sister, Roberta “Dolly” George and her husband Buss of Canyon city, Calif.; two brothers, Robert G. Halfhill and his wife Sharon of Wellsville and Bruce Halfhill and his wife Rachel of Conroe, Texas.
He was a longing grandfather and great-grandfather to 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, his devoted pet Teddy Marshall, as well as many loving friends will greatly miss Dave.
Mr. Halfhill was predeceased by a son James Robert “Jimmy” Halfhill in 1991, and a brother, John “Jack” Halfhill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville with Pastor Dirk hall of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene officiating.. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call for 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
