Sure Fair, 90, of RD 4, New Cumberland passed away Sunday, February 2, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born September 21, 1912 in Wynn, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Maria Timar Banko. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Evelyn Fair Rea and Linda Sue Fair Littleton; a brother, William Banko and a sister, Mary Lebo.
She retired from the Weirton Steel Corporation’s Tin Mill sorting room. She was a protestant by faith.
Surviving are two sons, Bernard Fair and his wife, Alma of Weirton an Charles Fair and his wife, Glenda of New Cumberland; a daughter, Judith Auerbach and her husband, Harold of Cleveland; three sisters, Irene Vincent of Uniontown, Margaret Cindrick of Waynesboro, Va and Emma Paskan of Sutersville, PA; two brothers, Franklin Banko of Meherrin, VA and Joseph Banko of Nevada City, NV; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the turley Funeral Home in New Cumberland. Services will be held there on Friday, February 7, 2003 with Rev. Curtis Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Burgettstown.
