COLLIERS, W.Va. – Mildred N. Baker, age 77, of Colliers, W.VA., died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Kindred Hospital in Oakdale, Pa.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1928, in Tyler County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jess McDougle and Jetta Jones McDougle Knox. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Algia Edward Baker on Dec. 4, 1993; a daughter, Charlotte, Ferrell; and a brother, Raymond McDougle.
Mildred was a member of the Pleasant Hills Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Lawrence Ferrell of Colliers, W.Va., and Mark Edward Baker of Huntsville, Ala; a sister-in-law, Madge McDougle of Weirton, W.Va., and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St., Follansbee, W.Va., where services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tommy Mills officiating.
