John W. Beadnell, 81, of Salt Run in Irondale, a retired employe of the Salisbury Clay Mine, died this morning at 12:55 at City Hospital, where he had been a patient five days.
He was born in Irondale Dec. 16, 1864, a son of the late Thomas Beadnell and Hannah Beadnell. He worked as a loader in the mines before retiring. He was a member of the Chestnut Grove Methodist Church.
He leaves two sons, Clifford Beadnell and Leonard Beadnell, both of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Ferguson and Mrs. Nellie Boston, both of Irondale, and a brother, Clarence Beadnell of Hammondsville.
Services will be held Monday at 2 pm. at the Kerr Funeral Home in Salineville by the Rev. George H. Johnston, former minister of the Anderson Methodist Chruch in Calcutta. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday night, Sunday afternoon and night.
