T. P. Ferguson Claimed at 84
Funeral Monday For Former Councilman

Thomas P. (Tim) Ferguson, a former East Liverpool Councilman, died today at 6:30 a.m. in his home at 1117 Vine St., following a three-year illness. He was 84.
Mr. Ferguson was a lifetime resident of East Liverpool. He was a salesman for R. Gaertner and the Palm Bros., decal importers and manufacturers for about 20 years and later worked as a clerk in the East Liverpool liquor store. He retired about two years ago because of poor health.
He was a councilman – at – large about 30 years ago. He was a Republican.
He leaves a son, Silas W. Ferguson, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Leeper of Trenton, Mich.; a brother, Edward Ferguson of Cleveland; a sister, Mrs. Nell Hepplewite, also of Cleveland, and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Ferguson, died July 21, 1950.
Rites will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by Dr. D. Finley Wood, Pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
