Eugenia Reese, 78, Wellsville Native

CADIZ – Mrs. Eugenia “Gene” Reese of 621 McCready Ave. died Monday, Sept. 12, 1988, at home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Wellsville May 24, 1910, a daughter of the late Charles Irwin and Sarah Stevens Irwin.
Her husband, Joseph Reese, died in 1987.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth R. Irwin of Wellsville.
Private services are planned. Burial is to be in Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth R. Dinch, 61, of 1803 Clark Ave., Wellsville, died Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. at St. John Medical center in Steubenville following a long illness.
She was born in Wellsville July 15, 1926, a daughter of the late George A. Rowley and Ethel Petty Rowley.
Mrs. Dinch was a member of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred H. Dinch, whom she married Jan. 3, 1949; a son, David Siddall of Wellsville; a sister, Francis Lister of Columbus; three brothers, George Rowley of Cleveland, William Rowley of North Versailles, Pa., and Willis Rowley of Orange County, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Clark Allison of the church is to conduct services Friday at 2 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

TORONTO – Services are to be held Thursday for Isaac Dan Murray, two-year-old son of Donald L. Murray and Teresa Mays Murray of Costonia Rd.
The child died Tuesday at 7:01 p.m. in East Liverpool City Hospital from leukemia.
He was born in East Liverpool March 21, 1981.
Besides his parents, survivors include his grandparents, Mrs. Helen Mays of Bloomfield Ave., East Liverpool, Carl E. Mays of Calcutta, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy (Edith) Murray of Toronto RD 1, and his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Mays of Glenmoor.
The rites are to be held at 11 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool by the Rev. Paul George of the Boyce United Methodist Church.
Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park, East Liverpool.
Friends may call Thursday until time of service at the funeral home.

City Pastor’s Father Claimed Suddenly

Fred Boardman Brunstetteer, 80 of Newton Falls, father of the Rev. Glenn A. Brunstetter of the Pennsylvania Ave. Methodist Church, died of a heart attack Friday at 12:30 p.m. while walking home from the business section of Newton Falls.
Mr. Brunstetter was born May 28, 1881, in Boardman. He was married 57 years ago yesterday- Feb. 2. 1905- to Mary Gautscki. He formerly resided at Phalanx Mills and had lived in Newton Falls 15 years. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Methodist Church. He had served as a member of the Braceville Township trustees for several years.
Survivors include his widow, four other sons, Harry F. Brunstetter and Harold H. Brunstetter, both of Warren and Delbert H. Brunstetter and Milford H. Brunstetter, both of Levittsbburg; a brother, Jerry Brunstetter of Warren and 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the James Funeral Home at Newton Falls by the rev. Leonard Confar and the Rev. Theodore Brumbaugh. Burial will be in Braceville Cemetery.

James H. Grimes - Obituary

James H. Grimes, 212 Indiana Ave., Chester, an employe in the clay shop of the Homer Laughlin China Co., Plan 4, died Friday morning at 9:30 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. He was 62.
He was born in Beaver to Ulysses Grant Grimes and Ella Mae Grimes and was employed at the pottery 35 years. He was a member of the IBOP.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Goldie Dennis Grimes, and a daughter, Betty Jean Grimes, both at home; two sons, James E. Grimes of Levittown, Pa., and Monty Mack Grimes of Chester; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Damon and Mrs. Mary Allison, both of Beaver Falls,a nd four grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 pm. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Walter Speece of the Congo Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Steve Brown, who operated Steve’s Restaurant at 111 E. 6th St., residing in an apartment above, died Friday at 2:30 p.m. at his home following an illness of several weeks. He was 72.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Brown at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Zoa Elizabeth Moore of New Martinsville, and Mrs. Florence Copestick of Colorado Springs, and a step-son, Birchard Sheets, also of New Martinsville.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Dawson Duneral Home by the Rev. William P. Jones of Butler, former pastor of the Avondale St. Free Methodist Church. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Springhill Cemetery, Wellsville for Amy Jo Adams, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orval F. Adams of 1622 Nevada St., Wellsville. She died shortly after birth at Osteopathic Hospital.
In addition to her parents, survivors include two sisters, Becky Lynn Adams and Shelly Louise Adams, both at home, and her maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Heaton Sr. of Wellsville.
The MacLean Funeral Home in Wellsville was in charge of arrangements.
