James H. Grimes, 212 Indiana Ave., Chester, an employe in the clay shop of the Homer Laughlin China Co., Plan 4, died Friday morning at 9:30 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. He was 62.
He was born in Beaver to Ulysses Grant Grimes and Ella Mae Grimes and was employed at the pottery 35 years. He was a member of the IBOP.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Goldie Dennis Grimes, and a daughter, Betty Jean Grimes, both at home; two sons, James E. Grimes of Levittown, Pa., and Monty Mack Grimes of Chester; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Damon and Mrs. Mary Allison, both of Beaver Falls,a nd four grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 pm. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Walter Speece of the Congo Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home today and Sunday.
