Forest Leason Jenkins, 73, of Colliers, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his residence.
He was born August 18, 1934 in Middlebourne, a son of the late James E. and Elsie (Mercer) Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva J. (Smith) Jenkins; two brothers, Carl L. Jenkins and James Jenkins; a sister, Zetta Ash and a grandson, Justin Lee Jenkins.
He retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as an electrician and or bridge operator for 35 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Weirton.
Surviving are three daughters, Laura Lee Sawon and Valerie Jean Tibbs, both of Colliers and Victory Lynn Hutchison of Weirton; six sons, Forest Leason Jenkins Jr., Neal Curtis Jenkins, Paul Micah Jenkins, John Alan Jenkins, Ckifford Ellis Jenkins and Daniel Dean Jenkins, all of Colliers; a sister Alice Haught of New Cumberland; 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Turley Funeral Home with Elder John Duffield officiating.
