LISBON – James F. May Sr., 85, of state Route 45, died at 5:16 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2001, at home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in East Palestine Sept. 23, 1915, a son of the late Ira and Lillian French May.
He had been employed as a furnace operator at the former TRW in Minerva before retiring. He served with the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lisbon.
He is survived by his wife, Leona A. Kuester May; four sons, Ronald G. May of Lisbon, James F. May Fr. Of Kensington, James H. May of Wenahitchka, Fla., and Rickie F. May of New Waterford; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sandy) Bilsky of Hanoverton; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. David Nikkel of the church will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Weber Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call a the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
