Frimino Gomez, 79, of 117 4th St., Midland, a retired Steelworker, died Friday at 8 p.m. at Rochester General Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 14, 1891, in Cabo Verde Island, Portugal, but had resided in Midland 53 years. He was employed at the Midland Crucible Division of Colt Industries and was a member of the Presentation Catholic Church.
He is survived y his widow, Mrs. Jennie Gomez, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Edith Silva of Midland, Mrs. Madeline Oxford of Washington, D. C, Mrs. Olivia Hayes of East Liverpool and Mrs. /Daisy Tavares of Canton; two sons, Amos Gomez and Charles Gomez of Midland, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at the church by Stephen Burdis. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery
Friends may call Sunday at the Leavell Funeral Home in Midland, where the Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m.
