NEW CUMBERLAND –Glen L. Arnott, 62, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Weirton Medical Center.
He was born in Lisbon Feb. 5, 1939, a son of the late Sarah Alice Barrett Arnott.
He attended Wells High School in Newell and received his G.E.D. while serving in the U. S. Air Force. He was honorably discharged from the service. He retired after 33 years with Weirton Steel Co., last working as a pipe fitter. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club and was a member of the Tomlinson Run Church of Christ.
Glenn was a loving husband, father and friend who enjoyed fishing and his work.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley Kenney Arnott, at home; a daughter and son-in-law, James and Sarah Arnott McIntosh of New Cumberland; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Cynthia Arnott of Greenfield, Wis.; two grandchildren, Brandon Arnott and Courtney Lynn Arnott; and two brothers, Robert Arnott of Mentor, Ohio and Alan Arnott of Ohio.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home, with Minister Paul Blake of the church officiating. Interment will be private.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
