Mrs. Dorothy Mills Long, 56, wife of Fred A. Long, died Sunday noon at her home in Hammond Addition in Yellow Creek township, near Wellsville, following an illness of nearly a year.
Mrs. Long was born in Hemlock, W. Va., a daughter of the late Joshua W. Mills and Mrs. Lucy Bosworth Mills. She lived in East Liverpool for many years before going to Wellsville, where she had resided the last 14 years.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Long Blazer, at home; her step-mother, Mrs. Julia Mills of Wellsville; a brother, Everett C. Mills of Warren; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Arnette of Wellsville and Mrs. Michael Ciccarone of Farrell, Pa.; two step-brothers, Robert Compton of Hudson and Henry Compton of Alliquippa, Pa.
The body was taken to the MacLean Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. L. R. Carothers, pastor of the United Brethren Evangelical Church of Wellsville. Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery.
