ROGERS – Foyn E. Wright, 58, of RD 1, a retired steel worker, died Wednesday at 8:26 a.m. at Salem Community Hospital East, where he had been a patient for 10 days. He had been ailing with a heart condition.
A native of Elkrun Township, Mr. Wright was born Oct. 13, 1913, a son of Norman Wright of Rogers and the late Mary Morris Wright. He had resided in the Rogers area his lifetime. He retired in 1967 from the Midland Crucible Division of Colt Industries.
Mr. Wright served in World War II from 1942-1945, including the European Theater. He was a member of the Rogers Christina Church, the DAV and was active in school function. He was married March 11, 1945, to the former Eleanor Merritt, who survives at home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Lucinda) Winters of Rogers; two sons, Dan E. Wright, stationed with the Army at Denver, Colo., and William N. Wright, at home; a sister, Mrs. Jayne Fagan of Oxnard, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 .m. at the Rogers Church by the Rev. James Crawford. Burial will be in Kimbel Cemetery, near Rogers.
Friends may call at the Warrick Funeral Home in Columbiana Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 1 up to the time of services.
