LISBON – Mrs. Gertrude M. Faust, 81, of 513 E. Chestnut St., died Saturday at 1:20 p.m. at the Hutton Nursing Home Center No. 2 in Salem. She had been ill since November.
She was born at Wheeling Island, W. Va., April 27, 1904, a daughter of William Mathis and Edna Gately Mathis, and moved to this area in 1947 from Martins Ferry
She was a member of St. George Catholic Church and its Alta and Rosary Society.
Her husband, Charles Faust died Nov. 4, 1964.
She is survived by a son, Charles W. Faust of Lisbon, and several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be celebrated at St. George Catholic Church Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. by the Rev. Father John Schmidt. Burial is to e in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Wheeling, W. Va.
Friends may call at the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary is to be recited at 8:30 p.m.
