WELLSVILLE -- Joseph Spann, 76, of 412 Johnson Pl. died this morning at 3:03 in East Liverpool City Hospital, after becoming ill.
A native of Columbia, S. C., Mr. Spann, was born July 5, 1907, a son of Jacob Spann and Maggie Mack Spann.
He retired in 1972 from MacIntosh-Hemphill Division of Gulf in Midland, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Lula Trapp Spann, at home, survivors include two brothers, Jacob Spann and Arthur Spann, both of Columbia, And two grandchildren.
Services are to be held Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Roosevelt Thompson at the First Baptist Church, where friends may call after 10 a.m.
Other calling hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the MacLean Funeral Home.
Burial is to be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
