Funeral services for Roy B., Ferguson, 23, of Charleston, W. Va., marine veteran of World War II and brother of O. W. Ferguson and John Ferguson of Chester, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the United Brethren church in Ripley, W. Va. Burial was in Ripley cemetery.
He died last Thursday at his home as a result of wounds received in battles in the Marshall Islands and Saipan.
He also is survived by his widow, Mrs. Betty Beymer Ferguson, and daughter, Joyce Lynn Ferguson, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Ferguson of Ripley; three other brothers, Seaman (1c) Gerald Ferguson and Marine Sgt. Ronald Ferguson, both in the South Pacific, and Ralph Ferguson, Ripley, and four sisters, Miss Faustine Ferguson of Charleston, Mrs. J. F. Creque of Akron, and Mrs. R. B. Parsons and Mrs. David Haley, both of Ripley.
