Death Claims War Veteran
Sheldon H. Clendenning, 41, of Irondale RD 1, an employe at the Weirton Steel Co. and a World War II Army veteran, died suddenly apparently of a heart attack Thursday, about 11p.m. at his home
He was born March 16, 1921, in Toronto to Virgil Clendenning and Luella Dillon Clendenning.
He was a member of the Hammondsville American Legion Post 742.
Besides his parents in Toronto, he leaves his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Blackburn Clendenning, a son, Barry Dee Clendenning, and a daughter, Miss Sheila Rae Clendenning, all at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Orville Hupp and Mrs. Darrell Stickler, both of Toronto, and Mrs. William Watts of Ambridge.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. a the Clarke Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Dailey of the First Methodist Church and the Rev. Ralph Cope of the River Ave. Church of Christ of Toronto. Burial will be in Island Creek Cemetery, Toronto.
