Ira J. Wilson, 62, retired carpenter, died in his home on the Fairview road, Chester, Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. following a long illness.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Chester lodge of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Grace Wilson; four sons, Earl of Newell, Roscoe and Okey of Chester and Loil Wilson of New Brunswick, N. J.; six daughters, Mrs. Pear Van Fossan of Ripley, W. Va., Mrs. Betty Eldridge of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Mary Meredith of Parkersburg, W.VA., Mrs. William Bennett and Celeste and Lucille Wilson of Chester; one sister, Miss Ida Wilson of Harrisville, W. Va.; and two brothers, Guy Wilson of Harrisville, and Creed Wilson of West Union, W. Va.
Funeral services will be held in the home Friday at 2:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. W. T. McKee, retired pastor of the Chester Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends are asked to call at the home Wednesday and Thursday night.
