Donald Lee Nixon
Died Jan. 2, 2004

EAST LIVERPOOL – Donald Lee Nixon, of Lang Street, died on Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at the Calcutta Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was 75 years old.
He had worked for more than 35 years at McClain Firebrick in Wellsville as a foreman and more recently at Specialty Ceramics in Columbiana for the past five years.
He was born in Marion, Ohio, on June 18, 1928, to Jeannette E. and Alfred R. Nixon, both of whom preceded him in death. His wife, Phyllis I. Searafy Nixon, passed away in 2000.
He is survived by three children, Kathy R. and her husband Richard F. Wilk Jr. of Lisbon, David B. Nixon of New York, Palm Beach and Beverly Hills and Diane E. and her husband James Householder of Lisbon; six grandchildren, Christian C. and husband, Steven Le. Richard F. Wilk III and wife Teresa, all of Leetonia, Jamie and Marci Miller and Clinton and Trevor Householder, all of Lisbon; three great-grandchildren, Randalyn Wilk of Lisbon and Cheyenne and Savannah Wilk of Leetonia; a sister, Marian E. Nixon of Wellsville; and a brother, Keith E. Nixon and wife Alma Jean of Wellsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to charities that benefit multiple sclerosis and Leukemia/lymphoma.
Memorial services are pending. The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
