CHESTER – Alice N. Matters, 69, who died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at home
She was born in Franklin Township, Pa., July 5, 1934, a daughter of the late Edward and Katherine Hayes Scharf.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Matters Sr.
She is survived by sons, Wayne Scharf of Elwood city, Pa., and David Matters Jr. of Pittsburgh; daughter Lisa Jones of Chester; brother, Earl Scharf of Baden, Pa.; two sisters, Sarah Holley of Brighton Township and Viola Besong of Beaver Falls; and seven grandchildren.
The Rev. Tim Haynes of Chester Church of the Nazarene will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. ad 5 to 8 p.m. today.
