Josephine D. Stolarczyk, 81, of New Cumberland passed away Friday, June 18, 2004 at Trinity East Palliative Care Unit of Valley Hospice in Steubenville.
She was born October 31, 1922 in New Cumberland, a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Mary H. Zumer Stolarczyk. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sophie Simon.
Joey retired from the Weirton Steel Corporation Accounting Department, where she was a member of the 25 Year Club. She was a member of the New Cumberland Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Woman’s Club.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Buck of New Cumberland, Mrs. Samuel (Darlene) McNeil of Peoria, IL, Mrs. John (Emily) Blanda of Columbus, OH and Mrs. James (Virginia) McMenamin of Steubenville; a brother, Ted J. (Mary Ann) Stolarczyk of Marion, OH; two nieces, four nephews, four great nieces and five great nephews.
Joey was an avid reader, loved music, plays and poetry. She was a loving sister, dedicated to her family and a blessing to all who loved and knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Private services and interment were held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Turley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
