Constance Mae “Connie” Richmond, 79, of New Cumberland passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Weirton Medical Center.
She was born November 9, 1929 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the last Lewis P. and Mildred (Morris) Barton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Daniel Brant Jr. and a daughter. Lisa Suzette Jackson in 2003.
Connie was a housewife and co-owner of Pughtown Market for many years. She was a member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church; a supporter of 4_H and enjoyed bingo and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Willis Ronald Richmond, at home; four children, Tara (Jim) Allison of New Manchester, Debra (Bill) Hale and Jill (Ron) Brant, all of Ocala, FL, and Marcy (Dave) Hess of New Manchester; three step-children, Carolyn Barton of New Manchester, Patricia (Don) Cornwell of Newell and Ronald (Lucy)Richmond of Charlotte, NC; a son-in-law, Gary Jackson of New Cumberland; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Turley Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brian Kilbert officiating. Interment followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
