CHESTER – Richard Gene Sprout, 72, of Indiana Avenue, died a home Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 17, 1931, a son of the late Vernon and Virginia Smith Sprout.
He was employed as an insurance sales representative of the American General Insurance Co. and was a member of the Chester Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Gravely Sprout, at home; two sons, Scott Sprout of New Brighton, Pa., and Richard Sprout of Chester; a daughter, Marilyn Diane Sprout Robinson of Chester; a brother, Jack Sprout of Lawrenceville; four sisters, Carol Rude of California, Donna Williams of Florida, Audrey Geer of New Cumberland and Orma Hayden of Florida; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
No services are planned.
