Ward G. Jackson

NEWELL – Ward G. Jackson, 82, of Grant Street, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2003, at home.
He was born May 26, 1921 in Roscoe, Pa., son of the late Robert and Hannah S. Ward Jackson.
Mr. Jackson retired as a vice president from Hayes Oil/W. Dickey after 41 years of service and was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Chester, having served on the church board, finance committee, Bible Study, choir and Sunday school teacher among others.
He served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Bonnie B. Jackson, who died on Oct. 22, 2001, and a brother, Ralph Jackson.
Surviving him is his daughter, Judy Allison of Bethany, W.Va.; a sister, Mrs. Cynthia Hileman and her husband Dave of Williamsburg, Va.’ And three grandchildren, Kim and Tracy Allison and Jeff Allison and his wife Lisa and their children, Cody, Eddie and Sammy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Debra Dague and retired minister Charles Andrews officiating, followed by burial in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may visit Monday from noon to 3p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester and Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service.
