SALEM – Ruth A. Browne, 86, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Essex of Salem following a brief illness.
Se was born in East Liverpool, May 11, 1917, daughter of Horace A. and Marie F. Haun Palmer.
She retired from Salem Community Hospital. She was a member of First Friends Church of Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J Homer Browne; tow sons, Warren D. “Skip” Browne and A. Lynn Browne.
She is survived by a son, Edwin S. Browne of Lisbon; and eight grandchildren.
Private services will be Wednesday at Eels-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Private burial in Lisbon Cemetery.
