Margaret A. Ripley, 80, of Glendale Road, Newell passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009
She was born May 25, 1929 in Newell, a daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel Thompson Heath. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Ripley Jr.; four brothers, Ed, Norman, Ralph, and Ernie Heath; and a sister, Dorothy Plum.
Margaret retired from the Homer Laughlin China Company where she worked as a finisher. She was a member of the Glendale Church of the Nazarene; a past Sunday School and Bible School teacher, a board member and a charter member.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Bob” Ripley, at home; three daughters, Linda (Curt) Blake of Dunbar, Barbara “Bobbi” (David) Tinker of Tennessee and Connie (Roger) Lamb of Newell; a brother, Lloyd (Janice) Heath of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 23great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Henry officiating Private interment followed at the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glendale Church of the Nazarene.
