EAST LIVERPOOL – Dorothy E. Greathouse, 63, of Fourth Street in East Liverpool, died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
A daughter of the late Ross E. and Josephine K. Tate Sweat, she was born on June 26, 1943, in east Springfield, Ohio.
A homemaker, Dorothy was a member of the East Liverpool Church of God.
Her husband Earl Greathouse Sr. survives along with two sons, Earl Greathouse Jr. and Stanley Pugh of East Liverpool; and three daughters, Nancy Pugh Williams of East Liverpool, Alvina Ross of Wellsville and Denise Griffin of East Liverpool.
Also surviving are three brothers, Ross (Sonny) Sweat of Charleston, W Va., David Sweat of Malta, Ohio, and John Sweat of Zanesville, Ohio; and four sisters, Dona angle of East Liverpool, Barbara Wilson of Zanesville, Ohio, Marcy Johnson of Okinawa, Japan, and Nancy Daily of Ripley, W. Va.
In addition there are 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will be present to receive friends today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. a the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where Pastor Dan K. Holloway of the church will conduct services on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
