NEW CUMBERLAND – Iva George Sapp Littell, 101, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at home.
She was born in Wetzel County, W.Va., Oct. 13, 1900, a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Sole Sapp.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Knob Fork, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert S. Littell
She is survived by seven sons, Jeff Littell, John Littell, Frank Littell, Marin Littell, and Leighton “Jack” Littell of Warren, Ohio, Charles Littell of New Manchester, William Elwood Littell of New Cumberland; five daughters, Mrs. William (Ellen) Burch of New Manchester, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Burch and Mrs. Ralph (Angie) Riter of New Cumberland, Mrs. Linwood (Glenna) Howell of Fayetteville, N. C., and Mrs. Locklynmoore (Erma) Stoneking of Norwalk, Calif.; 39 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 75 great-great grandchildren.
The Rev. Sherrill Fritts and Rev. Rick Tinsky will conduct the services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred, W.Va. Burial will be in Anderson-Bethel Cemetery in Littleton, W.Va.
Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Turley Funeral Home and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Tennant Funeral Home.
