NEWELL – Barbara Staggers, 78, died Thursday, July 26, 2008, at City Hospital.
She was born in East Liverpool Nov. 4, 1922, a daughter of the late William and Daisey Call Hughes.
She was a homemaker and attended the Newell First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Staggers.
She is survived by two sons, James Staggers, and Paul Staggers of Newell; a daughter, Deeplas Duxburry of Coral Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Pastor Carl Smith will conduct services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
