WINTERSVILLE – Beatrice K. Vantilburg, 77, formerly of Toronto, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center-West in Steubenville.
She was born in Toronto Oct. 4, 1923, a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Arthurs Holmes.
She had been employed at the former Lou’s Laundromat of Toronto and was a member of the Toronto First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry N. Vantilburg.
She is survived by three sons, Robert E. Barker and Richard E. Vantilburg of Steubenville and Thomas H. Vantilburg of Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Margaret A. “Sis”) Knight of Toronto and Mrs. William (Mary Kay) Cutlip of Wintersville; three brothers, Walter Holmes of Elyria, Ohio, John :”FLash” Holmes of Toronto and Benjamine Holmes of Valley Station, Ky.; twos sisters, Lucille Briggs of Wellsville and Margaret Kersey of Steubenville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Dennis Kelley will conduct the services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Clarke Funeral Home. Burial will be in Toronto Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
