INDUSTRY – Okla Adkins, 92, of Industry, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Sias, W.Va., Aug. 8, 1908, a son of the late Fred and Polly Stowers Adkins.
He worked at Crucible Stainless & Alloy, Division of Colt Industries in Midland before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bellomy Adkins; and two sons, james Clifton Adkins and Kyle Dwane Adkins.
He is survived by two sons, Dean Adkins of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Leon Adkins of Industry; two brothers, Harold Adkins of Sias and Fred Adkins Jr. of New Haven, W.Va.; a sister, Ruth Wines of Hurriane, W.Va.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Monday at the Schwerha Funeral Home in Midland. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
